The weather outside has still been a little chilly in Laramie over the last few weeks, but it is indeed getting warmer and warmer as Summer approaches. As kids are getting out of school, chances are that they are itching to hit the community pools around Laramie; fortunately they are opening soon according to Laramie's Parks & Recreation department.

The Splash Pad in Undine Park will be the first outdoor pool to open on June 9th and will operate daily from 11AM to 6PM. Admission to the Splash Pad is 100% free.

Then on June 16th the Laramie Recreation Center's outdoor pool will open with hours from 12:30PM to 6:30PM daily. You do need either a membership or a day pass to the recreation center for entry to the outdoor pool and water slides.

In addition to the recreation center's pools, the wading pool in Washington park will also open on June 16th, operating daily from 12:30PM to 4:30PM. Admission to the wading pool is also 100% free. You might remember that last year mechanical issues closed this pool early, which might be the reasoning behind it opening a little later than the Splash Pad this year.

Laramie Parks and Recreation told us that this year all of the pools are slated to stay open through September 2nd. The schedule above will be observed weather permitting.
