Male strippers and talking teddy bears. No, that’s not the set-up for a joke — those are what you’ll see in the two new movies that hit Laramie theaters this weekend.

Set in the world of male strippers, ‘Magic Mike’ is the tale of an experienced dancer who takes a newbie under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women and making easy money. And just in case you didn’t know this by now, it’s based off of Channing Tatum’s previous career as a stripper.

‘Ted,’ helmed by ‘Family Guy’ mastermind Seth MacFarlane, tells the story of a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish — and has refused to leave his side ever since.

Holdovers from last week include 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,' 'Brave,' 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted,' and 'Prometheus.' For more on all the movies playing in Laramie, head to the Laramie Movie Scope website. Here’s a sneak peek of the new releases.
