In Wyoming it doesn’t have to be Halloween to talk about ghosts. They’re supposedly all over the Cowboy State, but do you believe in ghosts? We asked that question and, in our poll, almost 8 out of 10 said yes.

We have ghosts from Cheyenne to Casper and beyond, no pun intended. Someone told me that at Laramie's Territorial Prison you can't throw a rock in any direction without hitting a ghost, but I think that was exaggerating. Rawlins' Frontier Prison is also said to be crawling with ghosts, despite only being open for 80 years. There are more stats on our state here, while in a national poll, almost half of Americans believe in ghosts.

It just seemed the right time to ask Wyoming, “Do you believe in ghosts?” (And we don’t mean the Holy Ghost.) Check out the percentage of Wyomingites who believe ghosts are out there, but don’t believe they're out to scare us. Actually, to me that's still spooky.

No, I don’t really believe in ghosts. ………………………………….. 7.14 Percent

No, I don’t believe in ghosts, but I think the stories are great. ……. 12.0 Percent
