Author's note: This question was originally directed to the City of Laramie officials, who said that the Albany County Public Library would be better equipped to answer this question. The answer posted is the one we received after reaching out to ACPL staff.

Question:

I was visiting the library with a handicapped friend the other day, and noticed that the parking lot was slightly hazardous, and that the sidewalk cuts for wheelchairs were full of ice and snow. Who is responsible for taking care of this parking lot?

Answer:

"The Albany County Public Library parking lot regrets the buildup of ice and snow in the handicap access areas of our parking lot and sidewalk. We are in contact with our contractor for increased snow and ice removal, and our own staff continues to de-ice and shovel the parking lot area by hand. This concern has been acknowledged and is actively being addressed."
