Laramie’s Happy Hours and Drink Specials

People always have their favorite bars. Some like Front Street for its outdoorsy feel, others like the old-west vibe at the Buckhorn. Yet others do not want to lie to their mothers, so they head to the Library.  However if you always go to the same bar at the same time, and order the same drink, you might not be getting thirsty, but your wallet will be.  Tonight treat your wallet to some of these great drink specials.

Ranger

463 North 3rd Street

Set slightly apart from downtown Laramie, The Ranger’s drink specials motivate customers to trek the few extra blocks north.  The Ranger’s daily happy hour is from 5pm-7pm and includes $1 off wells and $1.50 draft beers.  The Ranger also has a liquor store attached, making it easy to take something home.  It’s a great place to grab a drink after work or to start out your Friday night.

Mulligans

1115 South Third Street

On the opposite end of town, Mulligan’s gives Laramie residents a long happy hour. Every Monday through Friday, Mulligan’s has happy hour from 12pm-7pm and then restarts from 9pm-11pm.  Saturday’s happy hour is between 12pm-6pm and 9pm-11pm. While their hours are extensive, their specials are less so. Mulligan’s offers $1 off draft beers.  If you’re a beer drinker, this is definitely the place to frequent.  Grab your beer buddies, but make sure you leave your port pals (and martini-loving mother) behind.

Third Street

216 East Grand Avenue

In the heart of the Laramie bar district, Third Street offers a limited happy hour time, but a great selection of options.  From 4pm-6pm, Third Street offers buy one-get one drink specials.  This makes Third Street the perfect place to bring your friends who have the same similar drink tastes, or the perfect place if you just want a little extra for yourself.

Tommy Jacks

221 East Grand

If you want a drink with your dinner (or a dinner with your drink), Tommy Jack’s happy hour conveniently coincides with an early dinner.  From 4pm-6pm, Tommy Jack’s offers $5 martinis, $2 domestic beers, and $3 imported beers all week.  While you can’t take your martini-loving mother to Mulligans, Tommy Jack’s provides the perfect place to treat her (and if she has done something really nice for you lately, you should probably buy her dinner too).

Altitude

320 South 2nd Street

While Altitude brews its own award-wining beer, they do not have traditional happy hour specials.  Altitude has taken a different approach to drink specials. Instead of a happy hour, Altitude offers monthly drink specials featuring unique drinks.  For February, Altitude has a s’more tini, with Smirnoff vodka and chocolate liquor, as well as a Colombian Russian.

Bailey’s

2410 East Grand Avenue

On the east side of town, Bailey’s offers a different drink special every night, so its takes some planning to make sure you go out on the right night.  The bartender at Bailey’s said that during happy hour, which is between 4pm-8pm, drinks are a little cheaper overall.  On Thursdays, Bailey’s has a ladies’ night with two for one drink specials and half price appetizers.

Mingles

3206 E Grand Ave

Mingles offers different nightly drink specials.  On Mondays, domestic pints are $2.  Tuesdays include $2.25 bottles of Coors Lite. If you can’t wait until Thursday for ladies’ night, Mingles has their own ladies’ night on Wednesday with $2 domestic wells and $4 doubles.  Thursday tops out the week with a college-student favorite: $8 Fishbowls (bringing Thirsty Thursday back).

Front Street

213 S. 1st Street,

With a view of the train tracks, Front Street offers a happy hour from 4pm-6pm that helps customers beat the late-night rush as save a bit of cash. Mondays through Fridays, Front Street gives customers a dollar off all drinks and $9 pictures, making it a great place to go with a large group or a few friends.  Dinner is also an option at Front Street since they are adjoined with Sweet Melissa’s.

Grand Ave

301 E Grand Avenue

While it may be a less traditional place to head to for a drink, Grand Avenue Pizza offers the best deal in town for winos.  Every Wednesday, Grand Ave offers half price bottles of wine.  With most of the bottles ranging in price between $14-$22 dollars at full price, with a few friends, Wednesday night can become quite affordable.  Grand Ave offers a variety of Italian Red Wines, Blush Wines, and White Wines.  The complete wine list and prices can be found online.

Lovejoy’s

101 East Grand Avenue

Monday through Friday between 4pm-6pm is quite a common time for happy hour, and Lovejoy’s is no exception.  Lovejoy’s always offers two for one glasses of wine, $1.50 pints of select beer, and double well drinks for the price of a single. Additionally, they also offer nightly drink specials. Mondays are buckets of beer, with five domestic beers for $8.  Options include Bud Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite or Miller Genuine Draft.  Tuesdays are $2 pints of beer night, so if you have a picky beer-drinking friend, aim for Tuesday nights instead of just the happy hour specials. Options include Bud Light, Miller Light, Tumblewheat, 7200’ Stout, High Plains Pale Ale. Wednesdays offer $3 margaritas after 9pm and $12 bottles of wine, such as Bogle Merlot, Harlow Ridge Pinot Noir, and Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon.   Thursdays include $3 Double Jack & Cokes and $3 Long Islands after 9pm, as well as $6 Margarita Shakers.  Friday includes $3 Double Rum drinks, with any choice of rum.

ALiBi

404 S 4^th Street

While many drink specials do not apply on the weekends, the Alibi offers drink specials on Saturdays as well as throughout the week.  Mondays through Thursdays from 4pm-7pm, all pints are on sale.  Additionally, Mondays have football food specials.  Tuesdays have $1 off all pitchers.  Wednesdays include a sale on all micro pints, and Thursday fresh fruit Long Islands are $1 off and there are college football specials.  Saturdays are $4 car bomb days, and Sunday offers the perfect fix for your hangover: $1 off Bloody Mary’s, as well as Screw Drivers made with fresh-squeezed orange juice.  You can also double up your drink every day for $2 extra.

THe Library

1622 E Grand Ave

The Library’s specials often include more than just drink specials, so if you’re hungry and thirsty, make sure this is the place you head too.  On Mondays, the Library offers $2 margaritas in flavors such as lime, raspberry, strawberry, and mango.  For $13 on Tuesdays, customers can get a picture and a pizza.  On Wednesdays, its $8 for a burger and a beer.  On Thursdays, the Library combines their famous wings with a pint of beer for $9.  To round it out, on Sunday there are $10 buckets of beer.

Buckhorn

If you want to go see the bullet hole, the best viewing times include happy hour.  Happy hour is rather randomized at the Buck, but they do have good specials.  The consistent happy hour time (5pm-7pm Monday through Friday) includes buy one get one drink specials for any drinks available.  Additionally, the Buck offers other drink specials on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. On Tuesdays from 9pm-1am, there is a dollar draft special. On Fridays there is also a dollar draft special from 5pm-10pm.  On Thursday nights there is a $1 jack and coke special from 9pm-1am.

SnowY Range SPorts Bar and Grill

223 Adams St

The newest addition to the Laramie bar scene is Snowy Range Sports Bar and Grill. Located in West Laramie, has a variety of drink specials throughout the week. On Sunday's, Snowy Range hosts a Bloody Mary bar.  Tuesday is burger night. Wednesday is ladies' night, and Thursday is the town's only men's night.  Friday is pizza night, and Saturday is jager bombs.

Applebee’s

3209 Grand Avenue

Applebee’s also offers their drink specials throughout the week, including Friday and Saturday.  Every day happy hour is from 3pm-6pm and then restarts from 9pm to close. During happy hour, there are $2.99 domestic beers and long island ice tea.  There are also $2.99 glasses of house wines and margaritas.  For a bit more ($3.49) you can get premium beers.

Chili’s

2523 E Grand Ave

Chili’s does not have a happy hour, but they have drink specials, which makes it the perfect place to go if you can’t remember different bars’ happy hours.  All day Chili’s offers 2 for 1 margaritas, 2 for 1 jack beers, and 2 for 1 liquors.
