Laramie’s Colter Nunn has been a standout in Wyoming, but two weeks ago he reached an even greater height as world champion in light rifle shooting.

This took place at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Lebanon, TN. Nunn competed in four events that took up the whole week of competition, but shooting was where he shined. He won the title by five points.

KOWB had an opportunity to recently visit with Colter about winning the title, all that’s gone into it, his other events he competed in at the NJHFR and a little more, including bragging rights in the family.

To put it in perspective, Nunn was in three events in 2016. He was runner-up in shooting and didn’t make the finals in his other two events.

Congratulations Colter on winning a world title!
