The woman suspected of robbing the Bank of the West in Laramie on Wednesday is likely the same person suspected of similar crimes in other states.

According to a news release from Steve Morgan at the Laramie Police Department, assistance from the public has helped investigators tentatively connect the still unidentified woman with similar robberies reported in other cities, including Alexandria, Minn. Morgan said Thursday morning investigators are not absolutely certain it's the same suspect, but "confidence is high."

FBI investigators out of Cheyenne are working cooperatively with Laramie police detectives to search for a woman suspected of robbing the Bank of the West at 222 E. Garfield St. shortly after 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Morgan's news release says police still do not know how much money the suspect got away with, which direction she fled or the mode of transportation she used.

Police say no weapon was displayed during the robbery. No injuries were reported.
