A Laramie man has pleaded guilty to burglary and unauthorized use of a credit card in Albany County District Court.

Terry Wood, 37, could face up to 20 years and $20,000 in fines; he will be sentenced pending a pre-sentence investigation.

According to court documents, Wood was identified as a suspect in a burglary that occurred at a Laramie business on Jan. 20. The victim told a Laramie Police officer that someone had broken a window to gain access to his business without his permission and had taken multiple items, including numerous toy train locomotives, cars and accessories.

The victim identified Wood from a photograph and said Wood had come into his store on Jan. 19 and the victim had given Wood a ride home, per court documents.

The officer obtained a search warrant for Wood’s residence and upon executing the warrant, officers located many of the items the victim had reported stolen, according to the affidavit.

Wood is also charged with unauthorized use of a credit card. Wood was identified using a stolen credit card in video surveillance from multiple Laramie businesses. Wood and a woman, Reanna Mesa, racked up $1,746.05 in unauthorized charges, according to court documents.

Wood remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.
