The City of Laramie Landfill will be having an open dump day for county residents on August 25th from 8am until 4pm.

County residents are invited to dispose of trash, junk, tires, appliances, and batteries during the open dump day.  Landowners and residents of Laramie will be responsible for transporting their items to the landfill, but for people in outlying areas such as Centennial, Woods Landing, and Rock River trucks will be provided to transport some items.

Mountain Cement is providing a dump truck and flat bed trailer to pick up items in Centennial and Woods Landing.  The drop-off times for those will be 8:00 am - 9:30 in Centennial and 11:00 am - Noon in Woods Landing.

The Town of Rock River dump truck will be at the Rock River Landfill normal hours on August 25th (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) to collect tires only.  The tires will be transported to the Laramie Landfill for the free dump day.  All other items from Rock River will need to be transported to the landfill by the owner.

No hazardous or household wastes such as paint, oil herbicides, pesticides etc. will be accepted for the open dump day for any location.  People with such items are invited to call the Laramie Hazardous Waste Program at 721-5279.
