Three days full of PRCA rodeo action during Laramie Jubilee Days concluded Sunday at the Albany County Fairgrounds.

Following a heavy downpour in the middle of the day, the rodeo arena was quite muddy, but that didn’t deter the cowboys and cowgirls from turning in some great performances. In fact, there were three events that saw lead changes on the final day of action. Those came in Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, and Team Roping.

Pueblo, CO cowboy Casey Colletti went to the top of the leaderboard and won the Bareback Riding title for LJD. His 87.5 score aboard a horse named ‘Revolving Door’ earned him a payday of $2,583. In fact, the top three rides in Bareback came during Sunday’s perf.

Prairie City, SD cowboy Taz Olson also came through with a top effort Sunday afternoon. He won the steer wrestling title and a paycheck of $1,956. Olson bulldogged his steer in 4.2 seconds. That turned out to be the only run faster than Gage Hesse turned in from last Friday’s slack.

From Saturday's perf, here's Trell Etbauer (OK), who took third place:

The other lead change was in team roping, where former University of Wyoming star Clayton Van Aiken (CA) and his partner Richard Durham (TX) won the event with a 5.3-second run. They each earned $1,969.

The duo that finished third was Brock Hansen and Ryan Motes, whose 5.6-second run came Saturday evening:

Riverton, WY cowboy Andy Clarys 86 point Saddle Bronc ride during Friday night’s performance held atop the leaderboard. Clarys came away with $2,862 for his efforts.

Clarys said after he heard the score following his ride, “It was a pretty big weight off my shoulders. I’ve had a pretty rough couple of weeks. Either I wasn’t riding good or getting on kind of the bottom end of the barrel. It was pretty relieving to hear that.”

In Tie-Down roping, Blanchard, OK cowboy Travis Reimer had the final run Friday night and his 7.9-second effort held strong for first place at LJD. He earned $1,697 for his victory.

Alabama cowgirl Lacey Scott won the barrel racing title. She blazed through the Jubilee Days course and three turns in 17.52 seconds. Scott won $2,421 for her efforts.

Andrea Busby had the fast time during the performance Saturday night:

Arizona cowboy Auki Kai rode a bull named ‘Body N Soul’ to an 84.5 score and the biggest payout for LJD Bull Riding. Kai pocketed $1,943 for his eight-second ride. Here's his winning ride, plus a bull that almost took out the barrelman.

A total of $68,507 was paid out for the Laramie Jubilee Days rodeo over the three days. Summit Pro Rodeo was the stock contractor, while the sub-contractor was JK Rodeo.
