Three unique homes will be showcased during the University of Wyoming Women’s Club Holiday Home Tour Sunday, Dec. 2, from noon-4 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at Ace Hardware or Turtle Rock Coffee in advance for $10. They also are available for $12 the day of the tour at the individual houses.

The homes are:

• 4388 Vista Drive -- Susie and Dave Christensen (live arrangements by Killian Florist).

• 1801 Rainbow Ave. -- The Holles (formerly Drs. Geoffrey and Jean Coates).

• 200 S. 10th St. -- University Honors Program: The Red House (decorations by Fresh Flower Fantasy).

“This year participants will find an interesting blend of the old and new,” says Kelly Heck, UW Women’s Club president and event sponsor. “One house combines both as it was designed as a 20th century-period home of English Manor style, but it was built with modern construction materials and amenities.”

The English manor, Holiday Home Tour’s first stop, displays modern construction with older architectural ideas. Owned by Susie and Dave Christensen, it features live arrangements courtesy of Killian’s Florist.

The Holles house, the former residence of well-known physician Jean Coates, was built in 1946. It contains hints of the era including a kitchen with original blue metal cabinets.

The tour also includes the new home of the UW Honors Program, a refurbished 1909 Colonial Revival style. The “Red House,” built by prolific architect Wilbur Hitchcock, represents the first residential design of Hitchcock's plans for Laramie.
