The home debut for the Laramie Plainsmen and Laramie Lady Plainsmen was partially successful Thursday at the LHS gym.

Laramie Plainsmen

The Laramie Plainsmen won their third straight game with a 66-35 victory over the Rock Springs Tigers.

Laramie (4-2) led only 21-16 at halftime, but dominated the second half. The Plainsmen shot 53 percent in the final two quarters, as they pulled away for the 31-point victory.

The first half featured ten lead changes and five ties. The Plainsmen opened the third quarter on a 15-2 run for a 36-18 lead. Rock Springs (2-5) fought back within ten points, but it's as close as they would get. LHS out-scored the Tigers 26-7 in the final period.

Jake Aadland led all scorers with a game-high 21 points. Tristan Eickbush added 17 points and seven rebounds. Laramie held a 44-27 edge on the glass.

Rock Springs was led by Carter Rosette with ten points. The Tigers were held to 24 percent shooting from the field.

Laramie Lady Plainsmen

The Laramie Lady Plainsmen lost their home debut to Rock Springs 46-38 Thursday night.

The game was tied at 19 at halftime. The Tigers pushed out to a 35-28 lead after three quarters of action. The Rock Springs lead grew to 39-28 early in the fourth quarter, before Laramie made a run.

An 8-0 spurt got LHS back within 39-36, but it's as close as the Lady Plainsmen would get.

Laramie (1-5) was led by Alexis Pickerd with 13 points and ten rebounds. They shot only 26 percent from the field.

Rock Springs (4-3) was led by Mariah Smith with 16 points. Darian Williams added ten.
