***UPDATE: Laramie Community Clean-Up Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 25 due to winter weather conditions. It was originally set for April 18.***

Laramie’s Community Clean-Up Day will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Clean-Up Day had been scheduled for April 18, 2015, but has been postponed due to expected cold, snowy, and muddy conditions in the area.

Clean-Up Day is sponsored by The Laramie Beautification Committee, Laramie Economic Development Corporation, Laramie Boomerang, The City of Laramie, The Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce, and Laramie Main Street.

Safety vests and trash bags will be provided from 7:30-10:00 AM at City Hall, located at 406 E Ivinson Street.

Lunch will be provided to volunteers from 11 AM to 1 PM in the alley behind the Laramie Fire Station on 4th Street.

Volunteers are asked to bring work gloved and wear appropriate clothing.

To reserve a work area, place call 307-745-7339. Groups should call the same number to reserve their work area.

Suggested areas for clean-up volunteers include:
• Spring Creek
• East Grand Avenue
• Snowy Range Road
• North 9th Street
• Gateways into Laramie
• Intersection of Curtis & I-80

City Solid Waste Truck Locations (8 a.m.-noon):
• Washington Park (20th and Rainbow)
• Wal-Mart Parking Lot
• 30th Street and Armory Road
• Downtown (Parking Lot North of the Train Depot)
• Snowy Range Road at Fillmore Street (Across from McDonald’s)

Dumpster Locations (8:00 AM-noon):
• Carroll Drive (North of Curtis Street)
• Optimist Park on Spruce Street
• LHS Parking Lot adjacent to Reynolds
• 23rd Street & Spring Creek Drive

In addition, trash bags and safety vests will be available at the following locations:
LCBA: Prior to April 25th, 800 South 3rd Street - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.- 307-745-7339
City Hall: Saturday, April 18th, 406 E. Ivinson Street from 7:30-10 a.m.

Basic landfill fees will be waived for all Albany County residents. The landfill is open from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Standard fees will be assessed for disposal of commercial waste, business waste, asbestos, tires, refrigerators, trailers, campers, dead animals and any other item that requires special handling.

No hazardous waste, e-waste, or oil will be accepted by the trucks or dumpsters located around the community. Please contact the Solid Waste Department at (307) 721-5279 for appointments to dispose of hazardous household waste.
