Laramie brewers took home the biggest prizes at the 20th Annual Steinley Cup Microbrew Festival in Saratoga over the weekend.

Altitude Chophouse & Brewery’s Jared Long took home the Steinley Cup award with the brew Smoked Spice and Everything Nice.

The People’s Choice award also went to a Laramie brewer: Mitch Kunce from the Library Sports Grille & Brewery. The winning brew in this category was Watermelon Wheat.

Eight brewers attended this year’s event, one more than in 2014.

Saratoga residents swept the chili competition with Susan Marich winning for Red Chili, Kelly McAllister winning for Green Chili, and Tommie Hinshaw winning with salsa.

Stacy Crimmins with the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce says a total of 611 adults attended the Steinley Cup this year. That’s an increase from 560 in 2014.

More children attended the family friendly event on Veterans Island Park, with an estimated 50 kids in attendance.

Approximately 35 volunteers helped to make the event a success.
