Jacqui Pulley squeezed in a header between a defender and the Cheyenne East keeper in the 78th minute to give the second-ranked Laramie Lady Plainsmen a 3-2 victory over the top-ranked Lady T-Birds last night.

With the victory, Laramie stayed undefeated on the season and improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the 4A East Conference.

Pulley, a senior, said of the game-winning goal:

"I knew there was someone on my back, so I was trying to shield her. Then I saw the goalie come out, so I just was like, I got to jump and head it in. So, I just put all my force into it, and it ended up rolling in."

Laramie enjoyed a 2-0 lead by halftime. They received goals from Megan Dooley in the eighth minute and Ariel Romero in the 29th minute off an assist by Pulley.

It didn't last, as Cheyenne East scored in the 59th minute and eventually tied it in the 73rd minute.

The Lady Plainsmen will return to action Thursday at Cheyenne Central.

As for the top-ranked Laramie boys, they had their match at Cheyenne East postponed until today. The Plainsmen face the T-Birds at Okie Blanchard Stadium at 6 p.m.
