Two freshman pushed the Laramie Lady Plainsmen into the semifinals of the 4A State Soccer tournament.

Sekoya Romero and Lexi Pulley scored goals, as Laramie (11-4-2) rallied past Green River, 2-1, in first round action in Rock Springs.

The Lady Wolves took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute.

The Lady Plainsmen got the tying goal from Romero in the 38th minute off an assist from freshman Courtney Hamilton. The game remained tied, 1-1, at halftime.

Pulley then took a feed from Hamilton in the 47th minute and poked it past the Green River keeper for the eventual game-winner.

Laramie moves on to the semifinals for a match-up against two-time defending champion Cheyenne East. It will be the fourth meeting between the two squads this season. The Lady T-Birds beat LHS in this same scenario a year ago.

The semifinal is set to start at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rock Springs High School.
