Two Kansas teens who ran away from home four months ago were arrested in Cheyenne this morning.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant David Wagener, a trooper pulled a car over for an equipment violation at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and East Pershing Boulevard around 1:15 a.m. and discovered the driver and another female passenger in the car were runaways from Junction City.

Apparently, the teens had been all over the country, including Illinois, Texas,Nebraska and finally Wyoming, obtaining jobs under false names and birthdays indicating they were 21.

The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with impaired driving. The 16-year-old was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Another passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Nickolas Allan of Henry, Nebraska, was cited for possession of misdemeanor marijuana and released.

The two teens are being held at the Laramie County Juvenile Services Center until family members can take custody of them. It is unknown at this time if they will be facing any felony charges.
