Jackson Hole Emergency Planners Say Eclipse Prep Worked Well
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Emergency planners in Wyoming’s Jackson Hole region say the total solar eclipse went well.
Teton County was in the path of totality during the Aug. 21 eclipse.
Public safety officials planned for more than two years leading up to the eclipse, focusing on everything from traffic and crowd control and disaster preparedness to cellphone and internet logistics.
Emergency planners prepared for the worst, but the big crowds were behaved and clean.
Traffic plans worked out well although officials agreed there could have been better planning for the days immediately following the eclipse when the masses of people left the area.
