The 2018 Summer Concert series, hosted by the University of Wyoming Campus Activities Center’s 7220 Entertainment, is set to kick off Wednesday, June 6.

Performances will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Simpson Plaza on the UW campus. UW Residence Life and Dining Services will provide burgers – including a veggie option – grilled chicken, salads, drinks and sides for purchase. The concert series is free and open to the public, according to a UW press release.

Local musicians J Shogren Shanghai’d Duo will open the series, which will feature a different band each Wednesday –except July 4 – through Wednesday, July 25.

J Shogren Shanghai’d is led by UW’s Jason Shogren, the Stroock Professor of Natural Resource Conservation and Management. Shogren has released numerous albums and has played throughout the Rocky Mountain region, in Europe and the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

The artists in the Summer Concert Series Lineup include The Woodpile, The Lonesome Heroes, Whippoorwill, 10¢ Stranger, Franklin Good Boy and The Still Tide. The full schedule can be found here
