A dominant shutout and a three-goal victory characterized Laramie's sweep of girls and boys soccer action against Cheyenne South Tuesday.

On the home turf, freshman Lexi Pulley put on a show for the Laramie Lady Plainsmen. She scored four goals and added two assists in a 9-0 win over South.

Pulley scored in the 12th minute off an assist from Ariel Romero. She added her second on a header in the 20th minute. That came off a corner kick by Paige Trent. Her last two goals were an unassisted tally right before half, and then a penalty kick in the 42nd minute.

Five different players tallied the other goals for LHS. Courtney Hamilton, Lindsey Meyer, Kolton Barber, Romero and Morgan Bury were the ones responsible. Pulley assisted on the goals by Hamilton and Romero.

Laramie's ladies improve to 7-3-1 on the season and 4-3-1 in the 4A East Conference.

The Plainsmen fell behind, but rallied by the Bison in Cheyenne Tuesday night. The final score was 4-1.

South netted a goal in the 11th minute.

Laramie scored the equalizer in the 23rd minute by Lucas Thorsness. The assist went to Ryan Petersmann. They took the lead on Andrew Barnes goal off an assist from Blake Moore in the 35th minute.

Two more goals in the second half came from Chordell Carter and Paul Gonzales in the 56th and 67th minutes.

The Plainsmen are now 6-4-1 overall and 3-4-1 in league matches.

Both teams are off for a week. Their next action is Tuesday, May 12 at home against Cheyenne East in a boys-girls doubleheader.
