The Wyoming Cowgirls will try for their fourth straight win tonight, when they host the Nevada Wolfpack in the Arena Auditorium.

Wyoming (12-11, 7-6) has won three straight and five of their last six games. It's a streak that began three weeks ago and includes a pair of road victories. One of those was at Nevada 19 days ago.

The Cowgirl's 61-45 win at Reno on January 31 was the first time they'd put together back-to-back wins in Mountain West play this season. Record-wise, they're back above .500 again for the first time since a December 21st loss at Colorado.

Wyoming head coach Joe Legerski says his squad's confidence is very high.

"We found a way to get a couple of victories on the road when we were down; they just hung together as a group and made sure they made the best decisions with the basketball... when you have confidence, it seems good things always happen."

Nevada (7-16, 3-9) is going in the opposite direction. They've lost five of their last six. They are led by senior center Mimi Mungedi, who is averaging 12.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. UW held her to one point and only four rebounds in the 1st meeting.

Legerski adds that this match-up might be different. He says, "When you play someone a second time, it's always a challenge of what's going to be changed; either by your opponent or by you."

He also knows rebounding is going to be key with the interior presence the Wolfpack possess.

The Cowgirls are led by Marquelle Dent, Kayla Woodward and Kaitlyn Mileto. They average a combined 44.3 points per game. Dent leads the way at 17.2, while Woodward leads in rebounding at 7.7 per game.

Wyoming host Nevada in Mountain West women's basketball action tonight at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.
