If you've ever wanted to watch the latest feature film while getting stoned at the same time, you're going to have to wait a little longer.

According to a recent story by news website ImFromDenver.com, this could be a possibility as soon as August 15th, 2018.

The story reads:

Denver’s Mainland Theatres has just re-opened one of their 16 movie theaters into a marijuana-use purposed theater.

After over 6,000 requests were received last year by the management of the Zebulon Pike 16 Movie Theater Complex in Denver to open a theater where smoking pot would be allowed, the owners took action. Lance Swanee, manager of the facility, stated that the theater was expected to open Aug 15th of this year.

Although it sounds good on the surface, the story is false. Upon doing some research, an almost identical story was posted by Hip-Hop magazine, The Source back on June 3rd, 2015. The main source of the article was a now defunct website called RacketReport.com. The other main source of information led back to a story by satirical website NotAllowedTo.com, which has the wording virtually verbatim.

A little more research uncovered that there actually is no Mainland Theatre (or Theater/s) in Denver or anywhere in the state of Colorado.

Sorry boys and girls, your dreams of watching your favorite superheroes on the big screen while puffing a doobie are still just that... a pipe-filled dream.

*Editors Note*

There was a project for a Colorado-based, marijuana-friendly movie house called The Scarlett Theater, but as of September 2014, the supposed establishment still doesn't have investors.
