Ivinson Memorial Hospital's Chief Operations Officer has announced she will be stepping down from that roll to take a CEO position at a hospital in Indiana.

Carol Dozier has been CEO for the Laramie hospital since 2007 and says that making the choice to move back to her home state was a difficult one.  "I love Laramie and I love Ivinson," Dozier says.  "But this is a good opportunity that also gets me closer to my grown children, my granddaughter and my parents."

Ivinson Memorial Hospital officials have announced that Karl Vilums, the current chief financial officer at IMH, will assume Dozier's duties as an interim CEO after she resigns.  Vilums has served as CFO since 2008.

IMH's Board of Trustees and its partners at University of Colorado Health will begin the search for a new CEO immediately.

Dozier is scheduled to step down in early July.
