The Patti Fiasco are among Wyoming's most popular homegrown bands. Next month, they are hoping to showcase their skills to a sold-out arena in Denver.

Led by Encampment, Wyoming, native and former University of Wyoming basketball player Alysia Kraft, the alt-country, folk rockers recently entered a contest to open for Bon Jovi at the Pepsi Center on March 14. The more votes they get, the better the shot.

If they win, it won't be the first time they've shared the stage with such a world-renowned artist. Since forming in Laramie in 2008, they've opened for Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Ben Harper, Cracker, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real and a host of others.

The Patti Fiasco has also appeared at the SXSW festival and was recently profiled in the New York Times after headlining the nationwide WYOmericana Caravan tour.

The band has released two full-length albums to date; their 2011 self-titled debut and 2013's "Small Town Lights", which featured the track "Wyoming Is For Lovers".

The Patti Fiasco is one of many regional bands entered in the Live Nation sponsored contest. Want to help them win? Click this link, scroll down until you see Patti Fiasco, and share their page.
