Grand Avenue Repairs-Ask the City

Question:

It's great that Grand Avenue is open now, but why is the road still extremely bumpy? There are still potholes from 9th to 13th that are terrible to drive over.

Answer:

"The project in question involved the replacement of two water mains (16" and 30" in diameter) between 13th and 15th on Grand Avenue. There was no work performed between 9th and 13th and the roadway was patched only in areas of disturbance. Grand Avenue is a state highway and the roadway surface falls under the jurisdiction of the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). WYDOT will be improving Grand Avenue between 3rd and 15th in 2019. The project includes a mill and asphalt overlay, selective curb and gutter replacement, ADA ramps, and new traffic signals."
