Freedom Has A Birthday has become an annual tradition on the Independence Day Holiday in Laramie, and it’s back for its 27th year Wednesday.

There will be over 100 booths and vendors to enjoy at Washington Park from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Children’s Parade will get things started at 9:15 Wednesday morning, followed by the opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m.

Freedom Has A Birthday Co-Chair Cassidy Biggs discussed how the event has something for everyone. She talked about two new pieces to this year’s event, all the volunteer help and more.

Freedom Has A Birthday also features entertainment throughout the park, including three stages, at the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell, a center stage, and an east stage. There is a horseshoe tournament, a pie eating contest and plenty of activities for the kids.
