The 27th annual Freedom Has a Birthday celebration took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Washington Park.

Those who wandered through the park found a variety of family-friendly activities, including: mechanical bull riding, stilt walking, inflatable slides, and a firefighting demonstration. Several vendors also set up shop in the park, with items including clothing, jewelry, and food found at booths spread out across the park.

Freedom Has a Birthday was founded in 1990 by Laramie resident Patty Ramsey, who wanted to have an event the entire family could attend in the park. The event now attracts more than 100 vendors and thousands of Albany County residents and tourists annually.
