Four Sentenced In Federal Court

Federal court judges recently sentenced one man for child pornography and three women for methamphetamine conspiracy crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Samuel Briseno, 34, of Lovell on Dec. 22 for production of child pornography. He received 15 years imprisonment, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Lovell Police Department, and the Big Horn County Attorney’s Office.

Johnson sentenced Angela Kenney, 32, of Parker, Colo., on Dec. 23 for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Kenney was arrested in Denver. She received 14 years, nine months imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $750 fine and a $200 special assessment.

Johnson also sentenced Krystle McCann, 31, of Gillette for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. She received three years, one month imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200 fine and a $100 special assessment.

In another drug case, U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Allison Martin, 21, of Gillette for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. She received three years imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

The drug cases were investigated by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces, which includes the Wyoming DCI, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The program identifies, disrupts and dismantles the most serious drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and money laundering organizations, and those primarily responsible for the nation’s illegal drug supply.
