The Foster Grandparents of the Wyoming Rockies are working to generate excitement about their annual cornhole tournament at Feeding Laramie Valley's Higher Ground Fair, which is set to take place at the Albany County Fairgrounds from September 22-23, 2018.

According to the website, the Higher Ground Fair "seeks to be both a place and an experience that nurtures the intersection of art, music, crafts, agriculture, local foods, culture, grassroots social action, holistic health practices and sustainable living--with a focus on the six Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming."

In the weeks leading up to the fair, local businesses will be paid a visit by the Corn Cob Guy. To have him removed, business owners can either pay to register for the High Country Corn Hole Showdown, send him to another business, or simply have him removed.

Foster Parents of the Wyoming Rockies currently serves seven Wyoming counties. In the program, senior citizens volunteer in classrooms, child daycare centers, and other facilities to assist children and teenagers through tutoring, reading aloud, teaching remedial skills and more.
