The University of Wyoming welcomes a truly unique band to campus for a free performance open to the public tonight. Fort Collins based musical group SHEL will be performing a show at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. If you want to check out their style before going to the concert, watch the video below.

SHEL is a musical group so unique that they can only be classified as folk-pop, sisters Sarah, Hannah, Eva and Liza make up the quartet of classically trained musicians.  Experienced in a variety of instruments including violin, bass, piano, mandolin, cello and drums, the sisters of SHEL bring about a sophisticated yet youthful style of music that is both eccentric and entertaining.

Having performed at numerous prestigious music festivals, including South by Southwest, International Folk Alliance, Lilith Fair and Blissfest, SHEL has demonstrated its musical genius at a variety of venues.

“SHEL has delivered one of the most impressive debuts of the year,” Chris Douridas of KCRW Los Angeles said.  “They’re powered by the effervescent and radio ready.”

For those wishing to hear a little more from this dynamic quartet, SHEL has offered a free download of their song “Ruby Slippers” to anyone who “likes” their Facebook page.
