LARAMIE - A semester closer to graduation is cause for a celebration. The semiannual Welcome Back event will be held at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 in the University of Wyoming Union.

This event is free of charge, hosted by the 7220 Entertainment Late Night committee, and will include hypnotist Michael C. Anthony, magician Joseph Réohm, karaoke, board games, crafts and a screening of Now You See Me.

“The Welcome Back event is for all UW students, so they can start the semester right by coming out, meeting people and having fun,” says Erika Baker, marketing intern for 7220 Entertainment.

Joseph Réohm is an international award-winning comedic magician and illusionist. Réohm is best known for his close-up and stage magic, which has caused him to receive national recognition and awards. Réohm has been featured in some of the most prestigious magazines, such as People and Us Weekly. He has also appeared on many popular television networks, such as E, SyFy and The CW.

Michael C. Anthony is an award-winning hypnotist. He is best known for his show “Hypnotized,” which has granted him worldwide recognition and television appearances on CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox. His work has been described as a type of art that astonishes the audience by using unorthodox material.

The screening of ‘Now You See Me’ will begin at 9:30 p.m. ‘Now You See Me’ is about an F.B.I. Agent and an Interpol Detective who track a team of illusionists that pull off bank heists during their performances, and reward their audiences with the money (IMDB). Free popcorn will be provided during the movie.

Other activities for the night will be karaoke, board games, and crafts. These activities will run throughout the event. Pair up, meet new people and have fun!

7220 Entertainment’s Late Night Committee is responsible for organizing the Welcome Back event. The committee meets at 4 p.m. on Thursdays in the Campus Activities Center located in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union.
