Poetry Slam, Presented by 7220 Entertainment

LARAMIE –A poetry slam will be held in The Gardens on Wednesday, February 14 at 8 p.m. This event is free and open for community members to attend, however only students may sign up to present. Food will also be provided.

Students are invited to submit their original poetry for the poetry slam with a chance to win cash prizes. The cash prizes are as follows: First place wins $200, second place wins $100, and third place wins $50. To register for the poetry slam students should sign up in the Campus Activities Center, Union 012 beginning on January 26 up until the event on February 14, registration is on a first come first serve basis.

The Fine Arts & Lectures Committee is responsible for the poetry slam. They meet Mondays at 4:30 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, Union 012 during the school year.
