The Golden Globe winning and Oscar Nominated Film Moonlight is showing in the Union Family Room on Friday, March 3. The first showing will be at 6:00 pm with a panel discussion afterwards, followed by an encore showing at 9:00pm. The 6:00 showing will be closed captioned. Seating and popcorn will be provided for the showing. Moonlight is rated R and has a runtime of 1 hour and 51 minutes. This event is open to the public.
7220 Entertainment is partnering with African American and Diaspora Studies, Spectrum, and Safe Zone for this event.
Moonlight is “A timeless story of human self-discovery and connection, Moonlight chronicles the life of a young black man from childhood to adulthood as he struggles to find his place in the world while growing up in a rough neighborhood of Miami.” (IMDB)
