April 4, at 9:00 a.m., Melodees Senior Singing Group will perform. This group has entertained around Laramie for 25 years with musical programs and consists of 30-40 enthusiastic voices. At 10:30 Laramie Attorney Kermit Brown, past Speaker of the House and 12-year State Representative from Laramie will give his personal perspective on the recent Legislative session and what he sees for the next few years in Wyoming politics. April 11, 9:00 a.m. Hospice of Laramie's new Hospice House executive director Terri Longhurst will discuss the house and how it has expanded services for the community and how the community has supported the new facility. At 10:30 Doug Faus, IMH CEO will discuss the new Medical Office Building due for completion in summer 2017 and other happenings at the hospital. April 18, 9:00 Judy Knight, Collection Manager of the Laramie Plains Museum, will speak about various happenings of people and events both past and present that have impacted our Laramie community in a talk entitled "My Favorite Laramie Characters. At 10:30, The Efficacy of High Intensity Resistance Training in Older Adults will be presented by Scarlett Barnes, graduate assistant in the UW Kinesiology Dept. and show the benefits gained by participants in a recently completed 10-week program. April 25, UW President Dr. Laurie Nichols will talk about her first 100 days and what she sees for the University's future. At 10:30, Rocky Mountain Herbarium curator Ernie Nelson will discuss the facility which has been around since 1893. Charmaine Delmatier, Director of the Volunteer Program, will discuss events there and how the public can access available information. The RMH is the 3rd largest Herbarium in the US public university system.
