Winner of 7 Oscars, including best actress and best director, the critically acclaimed film La La Land will be showing in the Wyoming Union on March 24 and 25. The first showing will be on Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the Union Family Room with an additional showing on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Union West Ballroom. Closed captioning and free popcorn will be available for both showings. La La Land is rated PG-13 and has a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes. This film is free and open to the public.
“Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Damien Chazelle, LA LA LAND tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams” (Rotten Tomatoes).
