Additional Information

Cowboy State Brewing (CSB) was started by Wyoming natives in 2017, to supply the University of Wyoming concessions with local craft beer. Our vision is simple. One Wyoming. One Team. One Brand. Our flagship beers, CSB Gold & CSB Brown, are crafted to be refreshing, not overpowering; traditional, not trendy. They’re made in Glenrock, Wyoming and designed to be enjoyed by Cowboy fans across the universe. CSB products can currently be purchased in Converse, Albany, Laramie, Carbon, Natrona, Platte, Niobrara, Goshen, Park, Washakie, Big Horn, Hot Springs, Campbell and Sweetwater Counties as well as UW concessions and at Roxie’s on Grand in Laramie. UW fans visiting War Memorial Stadium, or the Arena Auditorium, can already enjoy CSB on draft during every game. Very soon, Cowboy fans will be able to enjoy the Brown and Gold in 12-ounce cans no matter where they view the game.

Here’s where you come in. Chances are, you’ve already tried CSB on draft, you’re familiar with the gorgeous imagery of Wyoming and you love to win contests. The purpose of the CSB Design Contest is to select the initial design for our 12 oz. beer can labels, as well as marketing and promotional materials.

Designs must support CSB’s vision, “to be enjoyed by UW fans across the universe” and follow submission requirements. The first prize winner will earn the title of First CSB Can Designer, $150, a CSB merchandise bundle and a free case of beer featuring your design! Additional designs will be picked to be featured on marketing and promotional materials. These winners will each receive $50 and a CSB merchandise bundle. Everyone (over 21) with proof of entry, who also purchases a 16 oz CSB draft, will earn one free CSB beer of equal value to be redeemed at Roxie’s on Grand.

The design should capture the essence of being a “cowboy”. With that being said, the classic image of a cowboy is a bit dated and overused. Rather than a mustachioed gun welding recluse, we’re looking for a fresh image that personifies our collective love of the land we call home, our commitment to our communities and our common support for Wyoming Athletics. Our modern cowboy may still wear a hat and boots, but transcends gender, ethnicity, or age (over 21, of course).
