As part of Laramie’s 150th Anniversary celebration, the Albany County Genealogical Society (ACGS) will presenting two programs at the Albany County Public Library Saturday, May 19. Dicksie Knight May, local ranch historian, will preresent "Early Ranching in Albany County". The very first ranches have their own fascinating and unique histories and she will present first at 1 pm followed by a presentation from Robert Zemanek at 2:15 on “How to begin Genealogical DNA testing”. He will cover the most current information regarding which testing companies are available, the differences between them, and what kind of tests are available. Both events are free and the public is welcome to attend one or both. A short question and answer session will occur following each presentation.
