An Evanston man died in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 80 in southwestern Wyoming on Thursday, according to a news release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched to the scene on I-80 west of Lyman about 6:35 a.m., according to the news release from Patrol Sgt. Jeremy Beck.

Tyree L. Summers, 24, was driving a pickup east on the  highway when it drifted off the left side of the pavement and overturned.

Summers was wearing his seatbelt, but died from his injuries at the scene.

The Highway Patrol is investigating driving too fast for road conditions as a contributing factor.  The road conditions were slick at the time.

This marked the 12th fatality on Wyoming’s highways in 2019 compared to three in 2018, three in 2017, and three in 2016 to date.
