Earth Day 2011 – Tip of the Day

1. Read electronically and feed the world. Tropical rain forests, home to half of the Earth's plant and animal species, are being destroyed at a rate of 100 acres a minute. The more you read online, the more you help.

2. On again, off again! Leaving the tap on while you are brushing your teeth can send more than five gallons of water down the drain. Turning the water on and off while you brush only uses 1/2 gallon.

3. Remember to put plastics in the recycling bin, not the trash. When buried, some plastic materials can last for 700 years. If the Pilgrims had six-packs, we'd still have the plastic rings from them today.
