The Associated Press reported yesterday that a Casper newspaper had obtained emails that allegedly showed evidence, that UW had removed a sculpture from campus due to it having caused controversy. The AP reports that the University of Wyoming sped up the removal of an anti-coal sculpture because of the furor it caused, but chose to tell the public the removal was as scheduled and because of water damage.

The story goes on to allege that Carbon Sink: What Goes Around, Comes Around  was removed from campus, a decision made by UW President Tom Buchanan, before the piece was damaged and a full year before the piece’s dismantling was due.
