The Wyoming basketball team will close out the regular season on the road Friday, March 7, against the Colorado State Rams. The game is set to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. at Moby Arena in Ft. Collins. The Cowgirls are 19-9 overall and 10-7 in MW action after a disappointing 84-80 loss against Utah State on Tuesday night. Kayla Woodward is averaging a team high 17.4 points plus 7.0 rebounds, while Fallon Lewis is adding 14.9 points and a team high 9.6 rebounds. Kaitlyn Mileto follows with 14.1 points and Marquelle Dent leads the way with 4.7 assists plus 9.9 points per game.

In league games, Woodward is third in scoring (17.7 ppg) and ninth in rebounding (6.9 rpg). Mileto is currently fifth in scoring with 14.6 points per game, while Lewis leads the league in rebounding with 9.9 per game.

Wyoming is second in the league in assists (15.9 aspg), third in scoring offense (74.0 ppg) and scoring defense (65.0 ppg), plus fourth in rebounding margin. They are also shooting 192-547 (.351) from beyond the arc and 715-1688 (.424) from the field, which are second and fourth respectively. In Mountain West games, they are second in assists, third in field goal percentage, scoring offense and scoring defense.

Colorado State is 22-6 overall and 14-3 in the MW. Last time out, the Rams fell to San Jose State, 65-64, in San Jose. CSU is led by Sam Martin who is averaging 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Ellen Nystrom is averaging a team high 6.3 rebounds while adding 9.3 points. They return three starters and six letterwinners to a team that went 11-19 overall and 7-9 in the MW last season.

This will be 91st meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 48-42. The last time the two teams met was February 22, 2014 as the Cowgirls defeated CSU, 75-49, in Laramie. They are coached by Ryun Williams who is in his second year with the program.
