The post-season kicks off tonight for the Wyoming Cowboys, as they face the Texas A&M Aggies in the first round of the 2014 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) in College Station, Texas.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams in 28 years. The last one was in the 1986 NIT in Laramie, while the first three meetings were at neutral sites. This makes it the Pokes' first ever visit to College Station, TX for men's basketball.

Wyoming enters with an 18-14 overall record. Texas A&M is 17-15 on the season, with 16 of those victories coming at home.

Cowboy head coach Larry Shyatt says they have a good idea of their style of play and personnel: "They're not going to try to trick you. They're really well-coached. They're fundamentally sound; they're aggressive; they're tough; they're competitive." Shyatt also added how the Aggies run some similar offensive sets as Wyoming.

The Cowboys will be looking to advance to the quarterfinals of the CBI for a third straight year.

The game is set to start at 6 p.m., MDT.
