Wyoming Cowboy sophomore running back Brian Hill is one of the 11 semifinalists for the 2015 Doak Walker Award.

The PwC SMU Athletic Forum made the announcement Wednesday. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top college running back.

Hill is one of five sophomores and nine underclassmen vying for this year’s honor. He currently ranks fourth in the nation in total rushing yards with 1,399. Hill is only 57 yards away from setting a new University of Wyoming single-season rushing record. With 2,195 career yards on the ground, he's already sixth all-time in school history.

Hill is the only running back from a “Group of Five” school to be named a semifinalist.

The three finalists will be named on November 24. This year’s winner will be announced on December 10.
