It might be the middle of summer, but the new-look Wyoming Cowboys men’s basketball team is already working towards the 2018-19 season.

The NCAA allows only four hours of contact per week in the off-season for the coaching staff. Wyoming head coach Allen Edwards told KOWB, they have individual sessions for an hour three times per week and then get together for an hour as a team. Here’s a glimpse at the Cowboys work from last Friday, June 29.

What this doesn't factor in is the players working on their own individually or getting together as a group on their own.

The Pokes have just five returning players from last year’s roster, including First Team All-Mountain West honoree Justin James. They have eight newcomers on their rosters. Three of them are junior college transfers, while the other five are from prep schools.

Wyoming begins its 2018-19 season with an exhibition game Nov. 1 against Colorado Christian in Laramie.
