Two walk-ons, including a noticeable former Wyoming standout, have committed to the Wyoming Cowboys. Head Coach Larry Shyatt made the announcement Wednesday.

One is former Gillette standout and two-time Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year Cody Kelley. He spent this past year at a prep school in Florida. That came after an illustrious career with the Camels.

Kelley led Gillette to the Wyoming Class 4A State Title his senior year. That was after a semifinal appearance his junior year. He finished as the Camels all-time leader in points, assists and steals. He was a three-time All-State selection.

The other walk-on is Sam Averbuck from Santa Rosa, CA. He played at a prep school in Connecticut this past year. His squad made the NEPSAC Class A title game.

Averbuck also earned some accolades his senior year at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa.

Both play the guard position.

Wyoming still has one scholarship to fill. The Cowboys are reportedly weighing several options.
