Cheyenne May Seek Reimbursement for Snowstorm Cleanup Costs
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — City officials in Cheyenne say they might seek federal disaster assistance funds to help clean up branches knocked down by a snow storm.
Wyoming’s capital city got more than 3 feet of wet snow May 18-19.
Many trees had already leafed out. The heavy snow brought down trees and tree branches all over town.
Mayor Marian Orr says cleanup will probably continue for three to four more weeks.
She says the city may be eligible for up to 75 percent federal reimbursement of the cleanup costs.
