A 43-year-old Cheyenne man accused of holding his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint and choking her unconscious has been bound over to Laramie County District Court.

Oliver Anderson, who was being sought on a felony warrant, was arrested by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office on Jan. 19.

According to an affidavit, Anderson and his ex got into an argument on Nov. 11 about a business trip she was going on.

Anderson then allegedly confined the woman in his bathroom, punched her, threatened to kill her with a knife and choked her until she passed out.

The woman, who was reportedly able to escape when Anderson later passed out, told a deputy that she and Anderson had been dating off and on since April 2016, and that the altercation was approximately the tenth domestic violence incident the two had been in.

Anderson is charged with kidnapping inflict injury-involuntary release, aggravated assault and battery-threatens with weapon, strangulation of a household member-throat or neck and domestic battery-first offense.

Anderson remains jailed on a $30,000 cash bond. His arraignment date has yet to be scheduled.
