Cowboy Football

Tomorrow is a big day for the Wyoming Cowboys football and basketball teams. On the field the Cowboys will go face to face against the TCU Horned Frogs! The Cowboys and Horned Frogs are tied for first place in the Mountain West Conference and the Cowboys are not wanting to give up a loss. On the court the Cowboys will host the first game of the season with an exhibition match against CSU-pueblo. T

This past Saturday the Wyoming Cowboys and the Nebraska Cornhuskers took to the gridiron. Many Cowboy fans were upset at the number of Cornhusker fans and the Nebraska Red that overtook Laramie. This picture gives you a realistic idea of how many Nebraska fans made it into the stadium...

This past week was the "Big Game", and we survived for the most part. We were good hosts to our guests from Nebraska.  The energy in Laramie this weekend was pretty amazing.  We performed like expected, although I must admit that I had high expectations; hoped that we could somehow pull out the win.  We played really well in the first half, and maybe the Huskers were a little nervous!  W

If you live in Laramie it has been fairly obvious that our city has been slowly growing over the past few days, before the major influx of fans this morning for the long awaited Wyoming vs. Nebraska football game. People came out of the woodwork this afternoon sporting their brown and gold, and there was plenty of red in the mix as well.

I am a transplanted Wyomingite. I moved here 32 years ago! We moved around a lot since my Dad was getting his degrees from different universities: University of Arizona, University of Washington, Auburn Alabama, and then to Wyoming. I lived in Nebraska for a year, but that doesn't count! Living in all of those college towns you learn about college pride and what football means in different states.

With thousands of Husker fans coming to Laramie this weekend, many Laramie businesses have decided to cater to the incoming crowd and offer some University of Nebraska apparel or offer specials that may be appealing to Husker Nation. The Domino’s Pizza in Laramie is not one of those businesses.

Just in case you are unaware there is a big game this weekend the Wyoming vs Nebraska game is this Saturday! Very good now you know that, there is a lot of stuff going on game related and some believe it or not, not football related! Also there is a lot a great music and cool events going on all weekend long!

When things go good for the Unversity of Wyoming Cowboys they really go good! It was total team effort against the FCS independent team, the Texas State Bobcats. Wyoming rolled over the Bobcats 45-10 to start the season 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference.
