The filing deadline has come and gone for anyone wishing to run for Laramie City Council and here are the candidates who are hoping to make it onto the general election ballot this fall. This is the first election of council members from the new three ward system. As such there will be two current council members running against each other for just one open seat in Ward Three while there will be a new council member elected in Ward One.
The City of Laramie, in partnership with the Laramie Main Street Alliance, will begin the second phase of the downtown street light improvement project on Monday, June 4th. The lighting project includes upgrades to the wiring system, existing light fixtures as well as the installation of new, antique decorative light poles on 3rd and 4th Streets between University Avenue and Custer.
