While Shel Silverstein is best known for his works created for children, he also wrote many songs, poems and one-act plays aimed at a much more mature audience. Albany County Theatre is presenting many of these works with An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, showing at the Gryphon Theatre Thursday, June 14 through Saturday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

"The Santaland Diaries" is based on the true chronicles of humorist David Sedaris' experience as Crumpet the Elf in Macy's Santaland display and is playing nightly at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 9, in the UW Fine Arts Studio Theatre.

This is the first election of council members from the new three ward system. The City of Laramie, in partnership with the Laramie Main Street Alliance, will begin the second phase of the downtown street light improvement project on Monday, June 4th. The lighting project includes upgrades to the wiring system, existing light fixtures as well as the installation of new, antique decorative light poles on 3rd and 4th Streets between University Avenue and Custer.
