Those of you wishing for a snowy Christmas will more than likely get just that. In the days leading up to Christmas the weather across the state will be seeing a change, the biggest of those changes being snow! A winter storm is forecast for late in the week meaning there will more than likely be snow on Christmas day!
The University of Wyoming has released their holiday hours. All students and the public should be aware of the changes that will go into effect starting December 22nd. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.
Now that we are within a week of Christmas, kids around Laramie have to be getting excited for Santa and his reindeer to make the rounds through town. However right before Christmas on Friday, December 23rd, Santa will be making an appearance at the Laramie Ice & Events Center for skating with Santa.

You might remember that last year there was free gift wrapping downtown and the tradition continues this year in the offices of the Laramie Main Street Alliance.
Our headline says reindeer sightings possible in Laramie on Thursday, but in all reality there will be Reindeer in town this Thursday. Our local Laramie Murdochs Ranch and Home Store will be bringing in some live reindeer that they are welcoming the public to come out and take a look at from 12PM to 3PM.
One of the great things I remember growing up was always taking a night or two around the holidays just driving around town with the family and looking at everyone's Christmas lights. It is still fun even today and there are some people in Laramie who have gone all out on their houses this year. We thought it would be nice to compile a map in conjunction with our holiday lights photo contest that would guide everyone through Laramie where we have found the best lights.
One of the joys of the holiday season in Laramie is taking part in the Holiday Home Tour, offering residents an opportunity to tour historic and modern homes, adorned with decorations for the holidays. The 2011 University Women's Club Holiday Home Tour is from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Tickets cost $10 in advance and are available at Ace Hardware and Turtle Rock Coffee.
